PLANNING: OUR TREATMENT

Molly is a young English girl who is sent to rural France to learn French and get work experience. Her mother decides to send Molly to stay with her aunt, Sybil, who she has only met once when she was an infant. Upon arrival Molly soon realises Sybil is not the person her family remember. Over each day the aunt becomes more controlling and turns Molly's experience into a life or death game, made into a twisted gameshow. The audience catch glimpses of surveillance cameras. Throughout the trailer there are different filters between shots to distinguish between normal shots and gameshow footage.
Last scene shows a family sitting down watching Molly on the TV screaming for help. The camera is positioned to show the back of the sofa and the back of the family's heads.

Ideas:
maggots in food
bloody sheets

Big question:
Will Molly escape?

  1. You explain your treatment clearly and in class discussion you and your group have developed several ideas further. The treatment offers an achievable trailer that should be gripping.
